Technik Services, Inc. reserves the right to change the Terms and Policies at any time, and solely at our discretion. Where possible, we will provide advance notice of significant changes. However, it is your responsibility to check back here regularly.

Technik Services, Inc. is not responsible for the accuracy or content of other websites, nor are we responsible for the consequences or results of using them. The appearance of a link to or from another website is not an endorsement of the website or the products, information or services contained within. We are not liable for any loss arising out of use of, or inability to use, this information, or for any action or decision you take because of relying on the websites or information contained in them, including but not limited to any indirect or consequential damage.

Ownership

You must own the computer or have the permission of the owner that you wish to have repaired. You must own and demonstrate ownership of any software that is to be installed or re-installed on your computer by providing the original software media and the appropriate keys and/or serial numbers.

Programs

Repairs and optimizations may require the addition or removal of software. It is understood and accepted that Technik Services, Inc. will add or remove programs as necessary to complete the repair and/or optimization of the computer.

Privacy

Our computer technicians will not browse through your hard drive looking at your data; however, they may inadvertently see data during the course of their work. Please remove any personal or private files you do not want others to see.

Right to Refuse

In its sole discretion, Technik Services, Inc. reserves the right to refuse work that it believes is beyond the scope of its ability or for any other cause.

Loss of Data

It is your responsibility to ensure that prior to Technik Services, Inc. taking possession of or beginning work on your device, that all critical data has been backed up, and that appropriate recovery procedures are in place. It is your responsibility to back up all files and folders. Technik Services, Inc. cannot accept liability for any loss of data and/or information during any repair, upgrade or diagnosis. You may request that Technik Services, Inc. back up your data for you at the stated price; however, we do not guarantee any backups made or completeness of backed up information.

Liability

Technik Services, Inc. shall under no circumstances be liable for any loss, damage, expense or injury of any kind. Whether direct, consequential or otherwise, arising in connection with the execution of a contract or the use or failure of the goods supplied or any defect in them, or from any other cause whether or not due to the acts or omissions of Technik Services, Inc., its staff, contractors, or its agents, in excess of the contract invoice value. Be aware that certain repairs [including, but not limited to, malware removal] may damage software and/or data installed on your computer. This is to be expected due to the nature of the malware’s destruction and may require the re-installation of your operating system, programs, and data. It is also understood that Technik Services, Inc. may void manufacturer warranties and Technik Services, Inc. does not assume the product(s)’ liability and/or warranty in the event that the manufacturer warranties are voided.

Warranty

All services shall be guaranteed for seven (7) days, however if the issue resurfaces and is discovered by Technik Services, Inc. to have been caused by negligence or misuse on behalf or the customer or other third party, Technik Services, Inc. shall not be held responsible, and the foregoing warranty will be nullified. You agree that Technik Services, Inc.’s total liability for damages related to its provision of services is limited to the total amount you pay for such services, and you release Technik Services, Inc. from liability for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
